Eyrignac is primarily a haven of peace and greenery that frames the 17th-century mansion. The hornbeams, yews and boxwoods are of exemplary rectitude. In season you’ll also admire various flowers bringing poetry and lightness to the gardens.
The flowers are only blue, white and yellow and they stand out on the various shades of green.
5,500 bulbs are planted each year in October / November: tulips, hyacinths and daffodils bloom in the woods and the gardens At the first hint of spring :
- 2000 White tulips ("fleur de Lys" and "triomphe blanche")
2500 annuals are planted each spring to bloom in summer...
- 2000 white impatiensThese flowers are planted around May 15, so that they start blooming around June 15.
In the gardens of Eyrignac, over 700 white roses from 5 different varieties can be found, the vast majority are in the white garden.
The first roses bloom in May. Flowering lasts throughout the summer and until frost.
They are found mainly around the French border, (summer blooming).
